Some newer models of the imiev have also a remote climate option.

But not all people ordered this extra option. Until now, there is no one who had a remote climate capable car and reverse engineered its CAN(?) commands. There are many people interested in this. Also if you broke your remote, a replacement remote cost way too much money. So there is for sure a market for such a replacement functionality.
