AFS removal?

Post by Klubba » 16 Nov 2020, 12:06

My 2010 ralliart has had the headlights replaced with regular lancer ones, now it keeps giving AFS errors.

Does anyone know hot to properly disable this? When I go to EATCS and set AFS to "not present" and also AFS-computer to "not present" then the car still shows afr error but with "invalid coding".

Anyone know what else needs to be changed? Have tried changing every setting with lamps/light on it i can find.
Or does anyone have the coding for a ralliart that was delivered without AFS so I can compare? I believe the US ones did not have AFS from factory.

Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply, do you happen to know where this ecu is located? Is it the one behind the glovebox that says "Denso?"

Hi
Check points:
1. AFS/ACL type [AFS type]
2. AFS/ACL/Leveling [AFS/Leveling CAN ECU]
3. SAS

All points - Not Present should be.

With AFS type: not present and AFS/Leveling; not present i get this fault code and i still have AFS faulty showing in the display

Also setting SAS to "not present" only gave me fault code on ABS as well, and display now also shows faulty stability management

Try this:

AFS/ACL/Leveling [AFS/Leveling CAN ECU]: Not present
AFS/ACL type [AFS type]: Not present
SAS: present(if you have ASC)
unplug AFS-ECU
clean DTC

^This worked fine :D

For anyone reading this thread in the future, AFS-ecu is located behind the glove-box on a LHD car and it says AFS-ecu on it in clear writing, so cannot be mistaken :) Mounted pretty high up

Thanks to everyone helping

Thank you so much! Finally fixed my issue. What's SAS? Doesn't every car have ASC?
