Coolant Temp Gauge Threshold

Hello everyone, could someone tell me what function has the line # 131 Coolant Temp Gauge Threshold, There are two options, Normal and HOT.
What is the difference, or what happens if I switch to HOT.

Hot is option for "cold" thermostat (as example on evolution or ralliart with turbocharged engines) to achieve correct temperature gauge level on dashboard.
