I have an ELM327 OBD2 adapter, version 1.5. If I connect this to my Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV from 2014, I can read all sorts of data with the demo OBD tools.
However, when I try to connect to the car from MMCodingWriter 2.3, I get the following error:
I could not find similar questions (which were answered) on the internet. An older version 2.1 gave me the same results
I tested the setup on two different Windows 10 laptops, with the same results.
Should this adapter work, or do I have to purchase, for example, a J2534 adapter or Tactrix OpenPort 2.0?
My goal is to read out the Wifi password with the length of 14 characters. If anyone knows a diferent approach to that goad, it could help me out as well.

Re: ELM317 Disconnected
A J2534 USB adapter did the trick: https://www.aliexpress.com/af/j2534.htm ... =price_asc
